Rhythm of Makhanda is a dance and poetry performance that tells the story of the battle between the amaXhosa and the British in 1819. Directed by Ayanda Nondlwana and performed by local artists and pantsula dancers from Via Kasi Movers, the piece is not only entertaining, but it is also designed to educate people on the history that took place in Grahamstown.
